How to better protect children in the playground?

According to a large number of data, although the playground is designed for children’s activities, the park tour every year to lead children into the emergency room more than 20 million people were injured. Most of these injuries are caused by falling from the playground equipment. Why are these game architectures so dangerous and how to avoid getting hurt? Here are a series of operational safety guides that keep you away from the emergency room.
1. Check the floor: Check the surface of the playground you are visiting. The Consumer Product Safety Commission states that equipment should never be placed on hard asphalt or concrete. Looking for a structure on a soft and tolerant surface. Any area with a rubber playground floor is an improvement in the safety of children with loose or hard surfaces. First, the rubber floor has the advantage of cushioning and absorbing shocks. In addition, due to the rubber’s natural high coefficient of friction, the rubber flooring is a non-slip surface. It will prevent any minor damage caused by slipping or falling. If a child falls on the ground or above the structure, the rubber will also play a role in the cushion, which absorb the impact of falling.
2. 30/9 Rule: To avoid any aerial collision, you should make sure that all the 30 mm high playback devices are separated by at least 9 feet so that any adventurous children who jump out of the structure will not touch the different parts of the playground.
3. Remove the protrusions: Check all dangerous hardware around and open the “S” hook or the bolt end. Although these may seem small or farther, there is a potential danger.
4. There is no sharp edge: You should make sure that there is no sharp edge or point on the device, even if the dots may cause serious cuts if a child falls to touch it.
5. Be alert to aging equipment: Pay attention to any look older and rusty playground. These playground structures are not so strong as they need to be repaired.

The development of dry ski slope

Dry ski slope also called artificial ski slope is a ski slope that simulates the attributes of snow using materials that are stable at room temperature, to enable people to ski, snowboard or snow tube in places where natural, snow-covered slopes are inconvenient or unaviable. With the popular trend, let’s have a brief introduction of its development.
It was in United Kingdom and Netherlands that firstly become popular while other European countries tend to have access to real snow fields. Great changes have taken place of in the shape and the materials of artificial ski slope.
Early shapes and materials
Extruded plastic tiles were initially used to mimic snow to ski. The extruded plastic tiles provide grip capability by upward spikes. This artificial ski slope provided little grip and turning capability. The experience was also similar to skiing across ice. Due to bad users’ experience and products performance, this type of artificial ski slope was unpopular.
Brush material
With the brush industry continues to thrive, the next stage of in dry ski slope development happened. A well known material is dendix, a by-product of brush manufacturing. Dendix is similar to a short-haired brush with the bristles sticking upward. Since invention, it soon became popular throughout the world. Compared to the previous ski surface, it is a significant advancement. However, there was still a constant threat that it provided little or no impact protection to a slope user when falling.
Recent materials
The most recent development of dry ski slope is the material provides both impact protection and slope lubrication. Besides, it also offers the ability to perform turns, erect jump, and brake. The ski experience is closer to the feel of real snow. The shape is similar to flammulina velutipes. The surface of dry ski slopes is abundant of small balls. These small balls make the snow board and dry ski slope in a point contact condition no matter ski in any angle ensuring the moderate friction.

Compared PVC Sports Flooring with Rubber Flooring

PVC sports flooring and rubber flooring all belong to resilient flooring. However, PVC flooring distinguishes with rubber flooring. We can make a comparison from the follow aspects.
★ Production technology
Rubber flooring can be divided into homogeneous rubber and in-homogeneous rubber. Natural rubber or synthetic rubber as raw material merges with adhesive in large cylinders. Then the resulting log is peeled to the desired underlayment thickness. At last, the underlayment fusion bonded to a myriad of flooring surface. What is the characteristic that homogeneous rubber distinguishes from the in-homogeneous rubber? In-homogeneous rubber contains a layer of wear layer.
PVC flooring takes polyvinyl chloride and copolymer resin as raw material, adding filler, plasticizer, stabilizer and other accessories produce through extrusion technology.
★ Pattern
Coloring rubber flooring is more difficult. Thus the color of rubber flooring is relatively simple. While the printed layer of PVC sports flooring determines its patterns and colors. PVC flooring gives designers more chance to select.
★ Installation method
PVC flooring is lighter and easy to install. Rubber flooring is very heavy; the installation is more laborious. Moreover, is stricter to the base ground and installation method. If the method is inappropriate, there may appear bubbles.
★ Market demand and anti-wear capability
Due to the high price, rubber flooring is applied to high-end places. However, PVC flooring has a very wide application for good performance and price ratio. PVC flooring also has a great market potential. The wear resistance of rubber flooring is stronger. Rubber flooring is often applied to airplane, train, subway, bus, ships and other means of transportation.

How to clean your artificial grass?

One of the most appealing features of artificial grass is that it does not require the care and maintenance compared with a natural grass lawn. However, it doesn’t mean completely maintenance free. If you want to keep your artificial grass looks awesome and have a good performance, you will need to have a regular cleaning and maintenance.

How often you need to maintenance artificial grass will depend on your particular situation. For example, if you have outdoor pets, children, or lots of trees and shrubs, you will likely need to clean your synthetic lawn frequently.

If you live in a particularly dusty area, this may prompt you to clean your fake lawn more often. Conversely, during rainy months, you can allow the rain to wash your lawn and may not need to spray it down as often.

Lawns are meant to be lived on, which means drinks may be spilled, chewing gum or candy may be dropped. Most spills can simply be rinsed away with water. If residue remains after hosing off the area, you can use a mild, natural soap with warm water or a half-and-half mix of vinegar and water, which is also a great option for removing bacteria. Chewing gum, candy and other sticky substances can usually be removed just by picking them up with your hand; however, if a piece of chewing gum is being particularly difficult to remove, you can chill the gum with an ice cube to make it easier to remove completely.

If your artificial lawn has cigarette burns or stubborn stains, it can always be repaired; however, the better plan is to avoid spills and burns before they become a problem.

As a general rule, the best option for snow and ice removal is to allow them to melt and drain away naturally. Artificial lawn backing has drainage holes, which allows it to drain much like a natural grass lawn.

How to install rubber playground tiles?

For the rubber playground tiles that less than 40mm thickness, we should use universal glue in installing.
According to the following methods:
★ Clear the concrete floor surface;
★ Drawing the construction line on the edge of the field. Then, put universal glue on the four corners of the playground rubber mats. After about 2~3 minutes, stick the rubber tiles to the ground, and knock on the four corners with light hammer;
★ Cutting the rubber tiles as per the field’s shape;
Attention: The ground must be dry and flat.
The rubber floor tiles with more than 40mm thickness can be laid on the ground directly, installing without glue, because the rubber tiles that more than 40mm thickness is very heavy.

Dry Skiing VS. Real Snow

In the winter, I believe you must love skiing, snow warfare. Experience the fun of skiing. But what if it is in the summer? Now the dry skiing helps you realize it!
Cost: Artificial ski slope construction cost is low, an investment, and not subject to terrain restrictions; However, the real snow cost is high, vulnerable to terrain and temperature.
Water consumption: Dry skiing only need tax system and a small amount of water. True snow requires a lot of water
Power consumption: Dry ski slope once finished later only lighting and I need a small amount of electricity tax. True snow requires a lot of electricity.
Time: Dry ski slope after the completion of the year after year can be used, not affected by the temperature. Real snow use time is short, affected by the geographical impact.
Late maintenance: dry skiing resort basically do not need to maintain. And real snow need to wake up regularly snow, flat snow, human and material resources and money is huge.
